Since St. Louis is full of crime and poverty, do I have a good chance of finding work there?

My reasoning is that St. Louis is full of crime and poverty. Therefore, all of the Harvard types and other overachievers won’t be interested in working there. So if I apply for work there and live in St. Louis County where there isn’t so much crime I should be able to start a good career.

is it worth it to visit the St louis Zoo in the winter?

Last year we did the Magic House and that was great, but how good is the St Louis Zoo in the winter? Are there a lot of inside activities? Is it worth it to go in February?
